All works by the Wanted Artist Group are unusual in that they are each fully collaborative works between three artists. Sometimes two guest artists joined into the process. All works of art often underwent drastic changes as they changed hands. The only rule was that every artist must contribute to the work, and beyond that, there were no rules.

This image shows the three heads of Aum dressed in the decorations of traditional children's festivals. The police themselves often gave into the temptation of dressing up the Aum puppets in seasonal attire, as when they gave Hirata a body dressed in an illustrated yukata (summer kimono) during the summer festival season in Kyoto.
