All works by the Wanted Artist Group are unusual in that they are each fully collaborative works between three artists. Sometimes two guest artists joined into the process. All works of art often underwent drastic changes as they changed hands. The only rule was that every artist must contribute to the work, and beyond that, there were no rules.

 

"Totem Pole" highlights the theme of the tobidashi sign which shows a great many photos of cartoon images of frightened running children. The hand made tobidashi sign is meant to warn drivers of cars that childeren might run into the street. However, the written warnings on the signs warning against children running in front of cars has been changed to warnings to beware of Aum.
